The government want to demolish a village and expand an airport. This is despite the government's own department, DEFRA saying airport expansion will make CO2 reduction targets impossible. Moreover, the non-CO2 air pollution, of sulphates and other nasties caused by expansion will mean poor air quality and health to many Londoners, and make the air quality illegal under EU law.

A lie that 'business' supports Heathrow's expansion, and that expansion is 'necessary for the economy' is being perpetuated. Heathrow's expansion serves the interests of the airline industry only. London is better off with good air quality, a good reputation, and without climate change and flooding - for business, and the people.
